Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This policy explains what Epoxy Advisor.AI collects, how quote requests are sold, what happens when you follow a shopping link, and how you can opt out. We keep it short and plain.

1. What We Collect

Project answers. The details you enter about your floor (square footage, space type, finish, floor condition, experience level, ZIP code) are used to build your material list, cost estimate, and instructions.

Account details. If you create an account, we store your name, email address, and saved projects so you can return to them.

Quote requests. If you request a professional quote, we collect your name, email, phone number, and the project details you entered so the contractor who receives it can respond accurately. Section 2 explains what we do with it.

Usage data. We collect anonymous usage events (pages viewed, steps completed) to improve the Service. This data is not linked to your identity. To count unique visitors, your browser keeps a random, anonymous ID for this site.

Approximate location. To see which cities our visitors come from, your browser looks up your approximate city from your IP address using GeoJS, a free location service. We store the city, region, country, and a rounded map point, never your street address or your IP address.

2. How Your Quote Request Is Sold

We sell it, and here is exactly what that means. When you submit the quote form, your name, email, phone number and the project details you entered are sold to one local epoxy contractor through the Epoxy Lead Exchange. That contractor pays us to receive your request, and receives it exclusively — one company contacts you about your floor, not three chasing the same job.

If no contractor in your area buys your request, it goes to our own coatings team instead, who will contact you the same way. Either way exactly one business receives your details, and only so that it can quote your floor. We do not pass your information to anyone else, and we do not sell it for any other purpose.

3. Shopping Links and Cookies

The Service can send your tool list to Amazon as a pre-filled shopping cart. When you follow that link you leave our site, and Amazon sets its own cookie recording that the visit came from us. That is how a purchase is credited to us and how we may earn a commission. We do not receive your name, your address, your payment details, or a list of what you bought — only anonymous totals of orders and earnings.

What Amazon collects once you are on their site is governed by their privacy notice, not this one. If you would rather not be tracked that way, buy the tools directly rather than through the cart link; the Service works exactly the same either way, and the tool list is yours regardless.

4. How to Opt Out

The quote form is the only place your details are ever sold, so not submitting it is a complete opt-out. Everything else in the Service — the material list, the cost report, the install guide — works without it, and your project answers stay in your session unless you save them to your account.

If you have already submitted a request, reply “STOP” to any message from the contractor, or contact us through the contact options in the app: we will remove you from the quote flow and from our own follow-up. We cannot recall a request from a contractor who has already bought it, so the sooner you tell us, the less there is to undo.

5. Questions

Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact options in the app.
